Rahu Ketu Box Office Collection Day 2 & 3, Hit Or Flop ?

Happy Patel: Khatarnaak Jasoos Box Office Collection Day 5, Hit Or Flop ?

Written and directed by Vipul Vig, the Bollywood fantasy drama Rahu Ketu hit theatres on January 16, 2026. Backed by Blive Productions and Zee Studios, the film stars popular actors Pulkit Samrat and Varun Sharma in the lead roles. Despite its intriguing fantasy-driven concept, the film has failed to make the kind of opening at the box office that the makers had anticipated.

In its first two days of release, Rahu Ketu has collected approximately ₹ 3.70 crore net in India, a figure considered quite low when compared to its reported production budget of ₹20–25 crore.

Box Office Performance Over the First Two Days

On its opening day (Friday), the film managed to earn around ₹1.00 crore, which can be described as a modest start. However, collections dropped noticeably on Saturday, with early estimates indicating earnings of only ₹1.20 Cr. This brought the film’s total two-day collection to roughly 2.20 crore.

Occupancy levels also paint a worrying picture. On Saturday morning, the film recorded an overall Hindi occupancy of just around 5%, lower than the opening day figures. This clearly suggests that positive word-of-mouth has yet to develop in favor of the film.

Competition and Market Scenario

Rahu Ketu is facing stiff competition from other new releases. Notably, Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos has performed better, earning approximately 2.20 crore in its first two days. That said, Rahu Ketu has still managed to outperform another release, One Two Cha Cha Chaa, which opened to extremely poor numbers.

Interestingly, the film received relatively better responses in cities like Chennai and Bengaluru, where opening-day occupancy was higher than average. However, weak footfall in major circuits such as NCR and Mumbai significantly impacted its overall box office performance.

Can Rahu Ketu Still Become a Hit?

Based on current trends, Rahu Ketu’s box office journey appears challenging. With the pace at which it is progressing, the film would require an extraordinary surge in collections over the coming days to enter the hit or even average category. If collections fail to improve after the weekend, the film is likely to be classified as a box office flop.
