Emergency is a Hindi-language historical drama film directed and co-produced by Kangana Ranaut. The movie portrays the period of the Emergency (1975–77) in India. The shooting of the film began in July 2022 and concluded in January 2023. Initially, it was set to release on September 6, 2024. Nonetheless, delays in obtaining approval from the Central Board of Film Certification caused its postponement.
