Hok Kolorob is a 2026 Bengali-language political drama film directed by Raj Chakraborty. The movie is scheduled for a theatrical release on January 23, 2026.
The film is inspired by a real-life tragedy and is based on an alleged incident involving the death of a fresher linked to ragging at a city university hostel.

Hok Kolorob Plot

The story begins at a prestigious university in a city, where a new student (a fresher) enters the hostel with big dreams and hopes. After a terrifying night, the fresher dies under mysterious and painful circumstances, which is initially attempted to be portrayed as an accident or suicide. As the investigation progresses, layers of negligence within the seniors, hostel administration, and the university system begin to unfold. The story also portrays the struggle of students and families who try to bring the truth to light. The narrative emerges from a shocking incident that exposes serious issues such as ragging and institutional negligence.

The film features Samiul Alam, Rohaan Bhattacharjee, and John Bhattacharya in lead roles. Alongside them, actors such as Saswata Chatterjee, Sreya Bhattacharya, Partho Bhowmick, Pushan Dasgupta, Abhika Malakar, Akash Malik, Debdutta Raha, and Om Sahani appear in important roles.
