Kingdom is a Telugu language spy action drama film, which is going to be released in theaters on 31 July 2025. The film, which is about 2 hours 35 minutes long, tells the story of a thrilling mission. This film is written and directed by Gautam Tinnanuri.
Kingdom Plot
The film revolves around a spy ‘Suri’, who sets out to expose an anti-national conspiracy while battling the ghosts of his past. Working with him is his partner Shiva – and as they get deeper into the mission, the threads of intrigue reach not just across the border but also their own agency. The action as well as emotional conflict in the film and the entry of a mysterious heroine take it far beyond pure entertainment.

The film is written and directed by Gautham Tinnanuri, who is previously known for films like ‘Jersey’. K. Vasantha Kumar (VKCU) is also associated with him as the writer of the film. It is produced by S. Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya, who are made under the banner of Sithara Entertainments, Fortune Four Creations and Srikara Studios. The story of the film was initially written for Ram Charan, but later it reached Vijay Deverakonda and was fully developed with him.
Kingdom Technical Team
The cinematography of the film is handled by Girish Gangadharan and Jomon T. John, while editing is handled by Naveen Nooli. The background score and soundtrack are done by Anirudh Ravichander, whose first collaboration with Vijay Deverakonda and second with Gautham Tinnanuri. The film has been shot in various locations in Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Kerala and Sri Lanka. The bulk of the production was completed during 2023 and 2024, while some parts were halted due to the shooting of Vijay’s other films.
Kingdom Budget
The estimated budget of the film is said to be around ₹100 crore, making it one of the biggest films of Vijay Deverakonda’s career. A lot of money has been spent on huge sets, international shooting and stunts.
Kingdom Music
The music composed by Anirudh Ravichander is a strong side of this film. The film’s first single “Hridayam Lopala” and the second single “Anna Antene” have already gone viral on social media. The background theme of the film’s teaser has also been highly appreciated. The audio rights have been bought by ‘Aditya Music’.
Kingdom OTT Release
The OTT release rights of the film Kingdom (2025) have been bought by Netflix. This means that the film will be available for streaming digitally on Netflix a few weeks after its theatrical release. Although the exact release date has not been officially announced yet, it is expected that the film will hit the platform in the last week of August 2025 or early September.
