“O’Romeo,” a Hindi action-thriller film, is directed and written by Vishal Bhardwaj, scheduled to release in theaters on February 13, 2026. The 178-minute film is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. Based on Hussain Zaidi’s acclaimed book “Mafia Queens of Mumbai,” this film brings to the big screen a love story set against the backdrop of the underworld.

O’Romeo Plot

The story revolves around a heartless gangster who grows up in a world of bloodshed and power. But when true love enters his life, circumstances take a turn. This love sparks a war that shakes not just hearts but the foundations of the entire underworld.

Shahid Kapoor will be seen in the lead role of “Ustra,” while Tripti Dimri plays “Afsha.” Nana Patekar, Avinash Tiwari, Tamannaah Bhatia, Disha Patani, Farida Jalal, and a special appearance by Vikrant Massey will also be seen in pivotal roles.

The music has been composed by Vishal Bhardwaj himself, and the lyrics have been written by Gulzar. The film’s music has been released by T-Series, and includes songs like “Hum To Tere Hi Liye The,” “Aashiq Ki Colony,” “Ishq Ka Fever,” and “Paan Ki Dukaan.”

The film began shooting in January 2025, and was largely shot in Spain and Mumbai. “O’Romeo” received an “A” certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) due to its intense and violent scenes. Following its theatrical release, Amazon Prime Video acquired its digital streaming rights. Technically, the film’s cinematography was handled by Ben Bernhard, while editing was done by Aarif Sheikh.
