Malayalam cinema continues to expand its unique blend of horror and comedy with the upcoming film Prakambanam, which is set to release in theatres on January 30, 2026. The film belongs to the horror-comedy genre. It is directed by Vijesh Panathur, who previously helmed Nadikalil Sundari Yamuna, and he also serves as the film’s primary writer. The screenplay has been co-written by Sreehari Vadakkan. The film’s music has been released under the Think Music India label.

Prakambanam Plot

The story revolves around a lively men’s hostel in Ernakulam, Kerala, where three college friends spend their days immersed in studies, hostel politics, and mischievous pranks. Their carefree routine takes an unexpected turn when a mysterious incident disrupts their lives, plunging them into a series of situations that blend supernatural chaos with humor.
