Sumathi Valavu Plot
The story of the film is set in the 1990s in Maylamoodu, a village in Thiruvananthapuram district of Kerala. This story is based on an old folktale. It is said that in the 1950s, a pregnant woman named Sumati was murdered by her lover. After this, the villagers started believing that Sumati’s soul still wanders there, so the place came to be called “Sumati Valavu”.
The film shows how this old story still affects people’s lives. Some people try to know the truth of this mystery and during this time they come across many shocking truths.
