The sixth season of the Valiant Premier League (VPL) began on a high note with a vibrant player draft ceremony held in Mumbai. The event marked an important chapter for this Gujarat-based cricket league, which is widely known for encouraging rural cricketers and providing a strong platform for emerging talent.
Five Teams Ready for an Action-Packed Season
VPL Season 6 will feature five competitive teams — Ahmedabad Fighters, Rajpipla Kings, Surat Warriors, Delhi Titans, and the Mumbai Team. During the draft, team owners carefully selected players to build balanced squads, setting the tone for a fiercely contested season ahead.
Celebrities Lend Support to the League
The draft event was attended by several well-known faces from the entertainment and sports world, adding glamour and visibility to the league. VPL founder and Gujarat’s popular personality Vipul Narigara led the proceedings, alongside Bollywood singer Jyotica Tangri. Television actor Tanmay Vekaria, famous for his role as Bagha in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, also made a special appearance.
Sports personalities including wrestler Rounak Gulia, bodybuilder Aman Rathod, and City Brand Ambassador Mitesh Narigara were also present to show their support for the league’s vision.
