The clear results of all the relevant diagnostic tests posed yet another challenge, and hence, it was necessary to ascertain the reason for multiple miscarriages. They had consulted top IVF specialists in Mumbai, and yet they had no success in becoming parents.
They were visiting Ahmedabad for some personal work and chose to consult Dr Himali Maniar regarding their issue. She recommended an IVF-ICSI-PGT-A cycle to them. This treatment is also known as Comprehensive Chromosomal Screening (CCS). The treatment focuses on reducing the risk of genetic abnormalities through Preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidy (PGT-A) and implanting the healthiest of blastocysts for pregnancy.
The outcome of this treatment was five blastocysts. On further testing, only one blastocyst was euploid, i.e. suitable for pregnancy. Dr Himali Maniar was successful in transferring it into Riya’s uterus. Except for minor spotting and bleeding during the first few weeks, Riya had a smooth pregnancy. She delivered a healthy baby weighing 2.9 kg. Three years later, they are still in touch with Dr. Himali Maniar and are grateful for her dedicated efforts and for helping them become parents.
